Yes! We know not everyone is comfortable with smut&sip on show. Your subscription will come with an extra carrier bag on the outside so no confessions to your neighbour needed 😉

Why mocktails?

We’re all about inclusivity! And if you're like us, alcohol + reading means barely absorbing the words on the page (but hey, that’s a perfect excuse to re-read). But want to add a splash of your favorite alcohol? Go for it!

The month before each box, we’ll tease the book and give you a full reveal on our Instagram.

Your first payment to sign up to our subscription can be any day, just depends when you receive your invitation! From then on, all renewals are the 1st of each month e.g., 1st September for September's box and so on.

Our book only subscription can be sent to most countries.

Our full box subscription can only be sent to addresses within the UK (excluding NI).

While we strive to keep shipping rates up-to-date, they may be subject to change based on carrier adjustments or other factors! Final shipping rates will always be calculated at checkout.

Please note that you may be charged customs duties and/or taxes upon arrival, depending where you are. This is the responsibility of the recipient. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for any additional fees incurred.

We aim to ship each month's subscription at the end of each month. So for e.g. January's book by the end of January, February's by the end of February and so on. Of course, if there are any delays we'll keep you updated and you can also keep up to date on our Shipping Updates page ❤️

If you're ordering from outside the UK (including the EU), your package may be subject to local VAT or customs fees when it arrive- this depends on the rules in your country. Unfortunately, we cannot control or estimate these fees and they may vary by location. These charges, if any, are the responsibility of the customer.

You can manage your subscription using the 'Manage my subscription' button on our menu. This will send a link to your email, so you can manage your sub without a password.

You can easily change your address for future renewals in your sub account.

It's important to note that address changes will only apply for boxes not yet paid for. For boxes that have already been paid for, we'll need to update this for you manually so please email us as soon as possible to do this. If a box has already been sent out or the label has been made unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to change the address.

It is your responsibility to ensure your address is correct on your monthly orders.

Yes! You’ll have full control of your subscription through your smut&sip account. You can skip a box or cancel at any time. Our skip policy is listed below.

Please note: To ensure your skip is processed, it must be submitted before your renewal goes through. Skips requested after renewal will not be accepted.

We know not every book will be to everyone's taste (even though we hope you'll love each and every pick, we get it!).

For the time being, we don't limit the number of skips however, we’re a small business and frequent skips can affect our ability to operate smoothly. If you skip a significant number of consecutive boxes (5 or more), we will review your subscription and reserve the right to cancel your subscription at our discretion without notice. Please refer to our terms of service for more info.

Please note: To ensure your skip is processed, it must be submitted before your renewal goes through. Skips requested after renewal will not be accepted.

Due to the nature of our subscription boxes, we’re unable to offer refunds for orders or subscription renewals once they’ve been placed. Here's why:

✨ Each box is carefully curated and custom prepared in advance, meaning that all orders and renewals are final once processed.

✨ For preorders, in general we can't cancel or refund any orders once the preorder window has closed. This is because books go into production based on the number of books ordered. We appreciate your understanding.

We do our best to wrap our books well but because of the nature of shipping, transit can be a bit rough on the books sadly!
